Job Title: Internal Audit and Compliance Supervisor

Department: Internal Audit

Reports to: Head of Credit Union Services

Work Hours: 35 hours per week Monday – Friday (flexible working hours available)

Location: Currently working remotely. Going forward work will be carried out at mixture of client’s premises and working remotely

Salary: £25,000 to £33,000 dependent on experience

JOB PURPOSE

Working directly with Partners and the Internal Audit team to oversee a portfolio of Credit Union clients to carry out a programme of Internal Audits and Compliance assessments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Prepare and present internal audit reports on findings
• Maintain a high level of Credit Union regulatory knowledge and awareness of emerging issues – attending necessary training/development opportunities to support this
• Contribute to the development and improvement of Credit Union programmes and manuals
• Investigate and determine causes and irregularities
• Investigate and assess controls and systems
• Identify and assess the implementation of new controls as necessary
• Risk management and risk monitoring
• Providing recommendations for improvements
• Perform any other reasonable undertakings as requested by the partners and clients

• Ability to work to tight deadlines and understand the importance of meeting client expectations
• Ability to communicate at all levels, both in writing and verbally

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
• Experience of working with Credit Unions for at least 2 years
• Has a detailed understanding of Credit Union regulations
