I think a major point of your submission is that implementation of this proposal would be anti-competitive in that credit unions would be treated in a less favourable way than other financial institutions. As credit unions had no part to play in the banking fiasco it is absurd that they should be treated in such a way, with such restrictions on their deposits and loans, that implies that credit unions are &quot;risky&quot; compared to banks. Implementation of these proposals will damage the reputation of the whole credit union movement and will hinder the development of larger credit unions.]]></description>
